Our family has quickly grown from little to big in the last six years. From just the two of us to a mini Brady Bunch with a whopping four children from ages eight to one. Our family is the driving force of our brand. It is the horse that pulls the cart.
Being lovers of adventure and quality time with our kids along with our joint passion for capturing it all along the way, starting a business that was centered around documenting emotion, special moments, long kisses, and fairy tales came naturally to us.
When we're not shooting weddings and families, we spent most of our time taking Family trips to Dad's boat for a day of Jet-ski riding, a beach day to catch some waves and rays, or dancing around in our recording studio.
We put so much emphasis and value on savoring the tender moments we have with one another. We are the Family that leaves our phone in the car at family functions so we can be solely present with those we love. We value capturing all the details of our life.
He was a manager at Burger King working to pay the bills and she was looking for her very first job. She immediately caught his attention with her long blonde hair and her kind heart and she couldn't resist his charming smile and his ambition for life. It was at this moment, they became inseparable.
It wasn't long after being together that we welcomed our first baby girl, Lianna. The moment we found out we were pregnant we couldn't have been more scared so young, so unprepared, so much life ahead of us, how are we going to be able to give this baby girl everything that she needed? God blessing us with Lianna was by far the greatest thing that happened to us and in the next chapter you'll see why.
I purchased my first Nikon Coolpix point & shoot camera and was on my way capturing hundreds of photographs of Lianna falling in love with photography more and more everyday. Floyd saw the passion in me and asked me if I wanted to make it a career. This was a true light bulb for me and I felt like I finally found my calling. We used some of our saving and invested into my first DSLR, laptop and editing software. As my passion grew, I took things a step further and went to college to increase my understanding of photography.
Lianna needed a playmate and Daddy needed his Mini-Me. Shortly after moving into our first home, we welcomed our Baby Jordan. Weighing in at a whopping 9 lb 11 oz. He can be the most chill dude ever or a bull with horns. He is our perfect little Gemini.
Floyd breaking his leg in 5 years ago was a blessing in disguise. Being crutch bound for 3 months allowed his to reflect on his life and influenced him to take the leap and fully develop his artistic abilities. As an audio engineer/instrumentalist, picking up my camera to take pictures of me and the kids was second nature. One day he started taking video of special moments at home and that's where it began. On top of the business skills he was already contributing, his people skills and management skills was a perfect compliment to our photography business. Waking up next to your partner who shares the same passions as you is incredible.
He got down on one knee on that chili New Year's Eve night after an evening of Olive Garden and one on one time. If I close my eyes I can still remember the way my heart was racing this was a moment I had dreamed of for the past 5 years something I will never forget.
Shortly after getting engaged we decided to go full time in the wedding business industry. With over 40 weddings already under our belt weddings became a huge passion of ours. Not to mention, working together in a professional setting has always been second nature to us.
It was the hottest day in August but that didn't stop us from having the most special wedding. We chose a location that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay because it was one of the very first spots that we went to hang out at outside of Burger King. I'll never forget the look he gave me as I was coming down the aisle. I'll never forget how special I felt to be marrying someone that was so uplifting and motivating and encouraging to me.
Having a third child just two years after Jordan, months after getting married, and a calendar full of weddings for the coming year, it was terrifying and stressful to say the least. We often wondered how we would keep up. How would we be able to give three children all the attention that each one of them needs and deserves? The moment little Elijah was born, this moment right here... Was when we realized that he truly was the missing puzzle piece our family needed.
Through our journey there have been trials and an ample amount of joy. We use the unique journey behind our marriage to strengthen and impact the couples that we meet. We believe that every couple deserves to share their unique and special love story.
